Anti-Griefing Rules ~ Explained Empty
PostSubject: Anti-Griefing Rules ~ Explained   Anti-Griefing Rules ~ Explained EmptyTue Aug 02, 2011 4:52 pm

Griefing Explained:

In a nutshell, Griefing is destroying someones work with knowledge of doing so, for example if someone builds a house and you tear up a whole wall, that is griefing. You can on the other hand dig a hole just big enough for you to enter.

What is Looting?:
Looting is where you take items from another player's chests. This is perfectly acceptable in JustcraftPVP and is encouraged.

What can you endlessly break and take?:
These items you can break as much of as you like, and they cause disruption to the builder's play, but do not set him back on what he/she has already built.

- Furnaces
- Torches
- Workbench's
- Crops (Wheat, Cactus, Ect.)
- Plants (Tree's, Mushrooms, Ect.)
- Sponge Blocks
- Diamond Blocks
- Gold Blocks

Rules on Water and Lava usage:
Water and lava can only be used in moderation where a persion is situated and you are trying to kill them.

If you fill someone's base with water, that is classed as Griefing.
If you fill someone's base with water, with certain knowledge that they are there, that is not classified as griefing as long as you don't go 'over-the-top'.
Lava should only be used in moderation as a way to ward-off/kill someone at a closer range. For example, if you are on stairs and you see them coming towards you, you can place a bucket of lava down the stairs, but you can't fill their whole house with lava, even if you are certain someone is in there.

Rules on TnT:
TnT and other explosives can be used...
BUT!...
You cannot use TnT to blow up and entire castle, only use a single TnT to blast a hole in the side of it to gain entry.

Rules on Hidden Chests:
It is 100% legal to hide your chests whereever you please in your base, but when searching around someones base for their hidden chests, you are no allowed to tear up the whole floor looking for them, but mining out 2 - 4 blocks looking for them is not classed as griefing.

VIP's setting warps in bases:
If you are unlucky enough for a V.I.P to find your base, they are completly allowed to set a private warp in your base so that they can visit again and their discression. Keep this in mind when both hiding and when someone finds your loot.
